In this article, you’ll get to know about three interesting coffee makers. These coffee machines make amazing coffee if you give them some time. You can use them anywhere and at any time.

  1. Vacuum coffee maker

Vacuum coffee maker is a Siphon coffee machine that uses a special brewing technique. There are 2 kinds of Siphon coffee products. One is the stovetop type that can be simply put on the stove without using any other tool. And, the other one is a traditional siphon coffee machine that necessitates a burner beneath it.

Since vacuum coffee makers use a special preparation technique, they take time to prepare coffee. So, if you want to quickly make a cup of coffee, you should opt for a different coffee maker. In this coffee machine, you need to use freshly ground coffee.

Vacuum coffee maker works on the principle of contraction and expansion of water vapor. It uses two globes. In the bottom ball, water is heated, which results in water vapor. This vapor pushes up the water through the tube and filter that joins the two balls to the top ball.

After nearly eight minutes, the stove is switched off, which cools downs the remaining water in the bottom bowl. The vapor present in the bottom bowl cools and then contracts at the right temperature. And, with the help of gravity, a vacuum is created and the suction pulls down the fluid from the upper globe to the lower bowl.

  1. Coffee percolator

Percolator coffee maker is made from a pot that has a chamber at the base, near the source of heat. There is also a vertical tube, which connects this chamber to the percolator’s top. The tube’s upper end is a perforated chamber.

The top chamber is where you put the ground coffee and the bottom chamber has the water. When the water is heated, it travels up the tube, over the ground coffee beans. When the water cools, it travels back down to the chamber at the bottom.

This coffee machine was invented by Sir Benjamin Thompson between 1810 and 1814. Over the years, it saw several improvements. The modern version of a coffee percolator is electrical. Today, it’s quite common amid campers owing to its portable nature.

  1. French Press

The French press is a portable coffee appliance. It uses a simple method to brew coffee. The French press consists of a cylindrical beaker that is made of plastic, glass, or sometimes stainless steel. This appliance also has a filter, plunger, and lid. Just like vacuum coffee maker, in French Press too, you have to use freshly ground coffee.

In this type of coffee maker, you must know beforehand as to what coffee dose you require. Doses are of 2 types. The first one is known as measure by weight with the ratio of 18:1 or 10:1. This means you must put 1 gram of coffee for every 18 or 10 grams of water. The second one is known as measure by volume. In this, you have to use one tablespoon of coffee in the water of 4 fluid ounces.

In the French press, first, the water is boiled. Then, you must wait for nearly 30 seconds before you pour the coffee in the appliance. If you want, you can mix the solution. Mixing is better since the entire coffee needs to touch the water. Then, the plunger is placed above the pot. Following three to four minutes, the plunger is slowly pressed down.

So, these are the three coffee appliances that are great to use anywhere. They can make a perfect cup of coffee. Moreover, you can use them at your home without any hassles since they are easy to use.
